Here is a simple, delicious recipe for the cake in your photo — a moist vanilla/butter Bundt cake with warm buttery glaze that soaks into the cake just like in the picture.

🍰

Moist Butter Bundt Cake With Warm Glaze

Ingredients

For the Cake

  • 3 cups (360 g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups (400 g) sugar
  • 1 cup (225 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup (240 ml) buttermilk (or milk + 1 tbsp vinegar)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt

Warm Butter Glaze (the one dripping in the photo)

  • ½ cup (115 g) butter
  • 1 cup (200 g) sugar
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) water OR milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla (or rum extract)

Instructions

1. Make the Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C / 350°F.
  2. Grease and flour a Bundt pan very well.
  3. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy (3–4 minutes).
  5. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
  6. Add dry ingredients and buttermilk alternately, mixing gently.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  8. Bake 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

2. Make the Warm Butter Glaze

  1. In a small saucepan, melt butter.
  2. Add sugar and water (or milk).
  3. Bring to a gentle boil for 1 minute, stirring.
  4. Remove from heat and add vanilla.

This glaze stays slightly thin and soaks beautifully into the cake — just like in your picture.

3. Finish the Cake

  • Poke holes in the warm cake with a skewer.
  • Slowly pour half of the warm glaze over the cake while it’s still in the pan.
  • Let it soak for 10 minutes.
  • Turn the cake out onto a plate and pour the remaining glaze on top.

✨ Result

A super-moist, buttery Bundt cake with a shiny, drippy glaze just like your photo — soft, rich, and melts in your mouth.
