Moist Butter Bundt Cake With Warm Glaze
Ingredients
For the Cake
- 3 cups (360 g) all-purpose flour
- 2 cups (400 g) sugar
- 1 cup (225 g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup (240 ml) buttermilk (or milk + 1 tbsp vinegar)
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
Warm Butter Glaze (the one dripping in the photo)
- ½ cup (115 g) butter
- 1 cup (200 g) sugar
- ¼ cup (60 ml) water OR milk
- 1 tsp vanilla (or rum extract)
Instructions
1. Make the Cake
- Preheat oven to 175°C / 350°F.
- Grease and flour a Bundt pan very well.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy (3–4 minutes).
- Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
- Add dry ingredients and buttermilk alternately, mixing gently.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
2. Make the Warm Butter Glaze
- In a small saucepan, melt butter.
- Add sugar and water (or milk).
- Bring to a gentle boil for 1 minute, stirring.
- Remove from heat and add vanilla.
This glaze stays slightly thin and soaks beautifully into the cake — just like in your picture.
3. Finish the Cake
- Poke holes in the warm cake with a skewer.
- Slowly pour half of the warm glaze over the cake while it’s still in the pan.
- Let it soak for 10 minutes.
- Turn the cake out onto a plate and pour the remaining glaze on top.
✨ Result
A super-moist, buttery Bundt cake with a shiny, drippy glaze just like your photo — soft, rich, and melts in your mouth.
