This delightful snack brings

Recipe Introduction: This delightful snack brings back fond memories of my Nana’s kitchen, where every year she would make these savory tortilla roll-ups for us kids. They became an iconic part of our family gatherings, and now I’m continuing the tradition. They’re so delicious that you’ll never find anything like them in stores—making them from scratch is the only way to go! Big thanks to Aunt Bill for sharing this recipe that has been passed down for generations.

Ingredients:

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix (or homemade ranch seasoning)
  • 8 oz deli ham, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Optional: Jalapeños or other veggies for extra crunch

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture: In a medium bowl, blend the softened cream cheese with the ranch dressing mix until smooth.
  2. Assemble the Roll-ups: Lay the flour tortillas flat on a cutting board. Spread an even layer of the cream cheese mixture over each tortilla, covering it completely.
  3. Add the Fillings: Layer slices of deli ham evenly on top of the cream cheese. Then sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese, chopped green bell pepper, and red onion over the ham. For an added kick, you can include jalapeños or other veggies.
  4. Roll and Chill: Carefully roll up each tortilla, ensuring the filling stays inside. Once rolled, wrap them tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the roll-ups to firm up.
  5. Slice and Serve: Once chilled, unwrap the tortillas and slice them into 1-inch thick pinwheels. Arrange on a platter and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
  6. Enjoy: Serve with a side of your favorite dipping sauce, like ranch or marinara, and enjoy this homemade, nostalgic treat with family and friends.

These roll-ups are perfect for parties, school lunches, or simply a fun snack to share.
