Orange Pork Ribs recipe


 Ingredients:2 lbs pork ribs, cut into bite-sized pieces1 tablespoon cooking oil2 cloves garlic, minced1 thumb-sized ginger, minced1/2 cup orange juice1/4 cup soy sauce1/4 cup brown sugar1 tablespoon rice vinegar1 teaspoon cornstarchSalt and pepper to tasteOrange slices for garnish (optional) PREPARATION:1. Blanch the Ribs:In a large pot, cover the ribs with water and bring to a boil. Simmer for 3 minutes, then drain the ribs and rinse them under cold water. 2. Brown the Ribs:Heat the cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the ribs and cook until browned on all sides. 3. Add Aromatics:Add the garlic and ginger to the skillet and cook for 1 minute, or until fragrant. 4. Make the Sauce:In a small bowl, whisk together the orange juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and cornstarch. Pour the sauce over the ribs in the skillet and stir to coat. 5. Simmer:Bring the sauce to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30-40 minutes, or until the ribs are tender and the sauce has thickened. 6. Season and Serve:Season the ribs with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with orange slices if desired. Serve with rice or noodles.
